About the company:
MNC based in Penang mainland – specializing in the development and production of advanced polymer products for medical and pharmaceutical industries.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate injection molding projects from concept through to production.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including design, tooling, quality, and production to ensure project success.
- Evaluate and approve mold designs and modifications in collaboration with toolmakers and suppliers.
- Provide technical support during mold trials, troubleshooting molding issues, and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and status reports.
- Ensure that all projects comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Source and manage suppliers and vendors involved in tooling and component supply.
- Drive continuous improvement in molding processes and tooling performance.
- Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA activities for new or modified products.
- Support validation and documentation for new tool launches (IQ, OQ, PQ).
Academic Qualification & Skill Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in project engineering, specifically in injection molding.
- Strong understanding of mold design, plastic materials, and injection molding processes.
- Must be able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders.
- Experience with CAD software (e,g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and project management tools.
- Knowledge of scientific molding principles and process validation ((IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Experience with ISO 13485 or other regulated environments.
The salary for this position is up to RM 7,000
