Our client is a one stop marine service provider.

Key Responsibilities

Branch Setup & Operations

  • Lead the end-to-end setup of the Johor branch, including warehouse identification, leasing, and setup
  • Coordinate all initial operational requirements (equipment, systems, processes, compliance)
  • Ensure the branch is operationally ready within agreed timelines



Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with local authorities, regulators, port operators, and relevant stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, health, safety, and environmental standards



Business Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the marine and offshore industry
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the region
  • Support commercial activities including client acquisition and retention



Leadership & Execution

  • Act as the on-ground leader and primary point of contact for the Johor operations
  • Drive day-to-day operational activities and resolve issues proactively
  • Establish efficient workflows and continuously improve processes



Coordination & Reporting

  • Work closely with HQ and regional teams to align on strategy and execution
  • Provide regular updates on setup progress, operational performance, and market insights



Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in marine services, offshore support, logistics, or a related industry
  • Proven experience in setting up operations, new branches, or business units is highly preferred

  • Strong project management and execution skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation abilities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a “hands-on” approach
  • Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Effective communication skills



Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing network within the Malaysia marine or offshore industry
  • Experience working with port authorities or maritime regulatory bodies
  • Familiarity with warehouse or logistics operations
