JOB PURPOSE
To attend and treat patients who present to the A&E Department.
To identify patient who need further referral and treatment to Consultant.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To attend to all patients.
Physical examination.
Investigate to support the diagnostic.
Consultation and appropriate treatment.
Referral to Specialist if necessary.
Admit patient to ward if necessary.
Fill up the necessary forms to enable patients to seek treatment.
To attend to all emergency cases in the ward until the arrival of a Specialist.
To do pre-employment Medical Surveillance for the Panel Companies if needed.
To complete medical reports for patients when required.
To assist and participate in staff training program, if necessary, in A&E.
To participate in health talks and forums if necessary.
To ensure all inter services tasks are well communicated and performed together with the spirit of teamwork within the organization and group.
To report all accidents and incidents and hazards to the superior and complete the incident Report Form for each accident and incident.
To perform such duties as assigned by the Management from time to time when necessary.
To ensure proper deployment of duties for Medical Officer.
To ensure the duty rosters for Medical Officers are updated.
To provide and assist in managing OSHAS at workplace.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
To participate actively in any other new service that is introduced by the organization.
Ensure conformance to all policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2008, ISO14001:2004, OHSAS 18001 and Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards.
To comply with the Baby Friendly Hospital requirements and adhere to the 11 steps of successful breastfeeding.
Ensure adherence to Standard People Practice (SPP) at all the times.
Provide processes that support patients and family rights during care regardless of age, race, language, religion and social status.
Adopt and practice the Patient Safety Goals as safety improvement measures recommend by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008).

JOB REQUIREMENT
MBBS
Full registration with Malaysian Medical Council.
Current Annual Practicing Certificate
Complete at least four (4) years of service with the Government.
Good communication skills.
Ability to maintain good relationships with all levels of staff.
Dependable, good leadership, high integrity and responsible.
Productive and high discipline.
Ability to produce accurate and thorough quality work.
