Primary Function

  • To manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, handle accounts payable/receivable, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with regulations. They also assist with budgeting, forecasting, and support financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed timescales and maintain accurate record of all chasing activity
  2. Checks on credit/debit notes received from suppliers/affiliates to ensure correct amount beingcompensated/charged
  3. Control and manage end-to-end financial processes which includes collection, payments, monthly close activities and balance sheet reconciliation
  4. Ensuring all accounting systems, practices, controls and procedures are fully compliant with our company policy.
  5. Ensure all the accounting records are properly updated and reconciled in the accounting system
  6. Complete final accounting reports on-time and submit to the Accounts Manager
  7. Compile and generates necessary reports for monthly management meeting
  8. Presenting accounting issues and results to the Management
  9. Other duties as delegated from time to time by the Accounts Manager or any other person designated

Organizational knowledge:

  1. Good understanding and knowledge of accounting & SQL accounting system
  2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, meticulous, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  3. Analytical, self-motivated, able to work independently and well organized
  4. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  5. Able to demonstrate positive engagement when dealing with all levels of employees and management to deliver effective and efficient results
  6. Able to advice management in appropriate resolution of financial issue
  7. Able to lead and develop the team with hands-on leadership capabilities and to guide others in the continuity of leadership skills and development of succession planning
  8. Understands company’s culture and strategic plan
  9. Risk identification and management skills

Qualification & Working Experience Requirements:

  1. Candidate must possess at least Degree/Diploma in Accounting or in any related field
  2. Minimum 2 years of working experience in the related field is required
  3. Honest, team player, willing to learn, positive work attitude, proactive and able to meet deadline
  4. Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, or Chinese
