This role requires the successful candidate to:

Have good understanding of Permanent Way and Railway infrastructure around it
Plan, schedule, coordinate and carry out design of track alignment and perform supporting calculations,
Perform concept, preliminary and detailed design as well as review the design and drawings
Carry out and manage the design and on-time delivery.
Help to develop the production of drawings, reports and specifications
Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to ensure successfully delivery of the tasks/project.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team,
Be able to use industry software and tools to drive efficiencies.
Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for rail projects
Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepare technical specification and reports.
Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
