Limited Remote Options for Onsite Roles
Jabil's a big company, and for onsite roles like mine, flexibility is pretty tight. It's not bad if you expect that, but don't count on much WFH.
For a Manufacturing Engineer, I did get some flexibility within my daily tasks, which was nice. You can sometimes shift project work around, especially once you've proven yourself. The St. Petersburg facility is well-equipped, so you have what you need there.
Remote work options are almost non-existent for production support roles. As expected in contract manufacturing, you really have to be onsite to do your job. It's tough if you need to be home for appointments; work-life balance here suffers from that rigidity.
Try to find creative ways to offer even a little more flexibility for onsite staff. It would really help with morale and retention in our busy industry.
