Remote work is solid, but watch the workload
Entrust offers pretty good flexibility, especially for remote roles like mine as a Software Engineer. The WFH option is solid for work-life balance most days. However, the workload in the cybersecurity space can get intense, sometimes requiring long hours to deliver on key identity solutions.
I've been working as a Software Engineer remotely for a while now. The work-from-home setup is great and really helps with flexibility. You can usually manage your own schedule, which is a huge plus for maintaining a decent personal life.
Sometimes, especially in our cybersecurity division, projects pile up fast. It's not uncommon to put in extra hours to hit deadlines, which can really eat into your work-life balance. It's tough when you're working on critical identity solutions.
Management should really look into better resource allocation for project teams. It would help prevent burnout and make the work-life balance more consistent across engineering roles.
