Leadership is just okay at Flex
It's a huge corporate company, so things move slow. There are some good people, but leadership can be a mixed bag.
Some of the direct managers are solid, especially if you're in a supply chain management role. They'll actually support your projects. The hybrid work setup in Austin is also a big plus for flexibility.
Upper leadership can feel pretty distant from daily manufacturing operations. Decisions often seem to come from nowhere. There's not a lot of clear direction from the top, which makes planning tough.
Try to be more visible and transparent with mid-level managers. Explain the 'why' behind big corporate decisions. It would help a lot with employee morale and clarity.
