Position Overview
The Branch In-Charge will oversee the operations of the audit firm's branch, ensuring compliance with professional standards, managing client relationships and driving business growth. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership and ethical integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise audit teams, ensuring high quality delivery of audit engagements.
- Manage branch operations including resource allocation, workflow planning and performance monitoring.
- Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for business development.
- Ensuring compliance with auditing standards, regulatory requirements and firm policies.
- Prepare and review audit report, providing clear and actionable insights to clients.
- Represent the branch in professional forums, regulatory interactions and industry networking.
- Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and ethical practice.
Qualifications:
- Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional certification.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of audit experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards (ISA, GAAP, IFRS) and local regulatory frameworks.
- Proven track record in managing teams and client portfolios.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
