About the role
LD Micro Precision Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist cum Programmer to join our team in Penang. As a CNC Machinist cum Programmer, you will be responsible for operating and programming our state-of-the-art CNC machines to produce high-precision parts and components. This is a full-time position that offers excellent opportunities for career growth and development within our dynamic Mechanical Engineering organization.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC machines to manufacture parts and components to specifications
- Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software to create efficient and accurate machining processes
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
- Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of the manufacturing process
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to identify and resolve any issues or challenges
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all machining activities
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or CNC Programmer
- Strong proficiency in operating a variety of CNC machines center
- Proven experience in programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred
