This role is essential in encouraging the use and supporting the sales of Cambridge English products and services across Indonesia. Working closely with the Country Managers and regional teams, the individual will rely on their academic expertise to help schools choose solutions that fit their educational needs. By delivering top-quality training and consultancy, this position builds lasting relationships with stakeholders and ensures continued satisfaction with Cambridge's offerings.

About The Role

As a Professional Learning and Development Specialist, this role involves designing and delivering learning experiences that demonstrate the application of Cambridge resources in classroom settings. The position provides support to customers before and after product adoption, assisting with implementation and ongoing engagement. Academic initiatives are guided by market requirements and regional strategies established by the Cambridge sales teams.

Based in Indonesia, this role supports schools across Southeast Asia and the NSAP region, working with local teams to deliver academic consulting, product training, and professional development in line with Cambridge's Integrated Learning and Assessment approach.

Additionally, you will:

  • Work with local and regional teams to expand Cambridge English product use through client engagement and academic presentations. Deliver training and consultancy sessions showing classroom application and supporting product adoption.
  • Facilitate in-person and online professional learning for educators and stakeholders and assist with product implementation. Represent Cambridge at trainings, events, and conferences. Update training materials as needed and support team training.
  • Adapt academic content to align with Indonesia's curriculum and advise on education trends. Represent Cambridge at academic events.
  • Record outcomes, gather feedback, report results, and manage training logistics and documentation.

Based in Jakarta, this role operates on a hybrid working model, with a mix of office‑based work, travel, and some remote working. The initial onboarding period will involve more time in the office, with flexibility increasing as the role progresses. The role includes significant travel, primarily within Indonesia and occasionally across Southeast Asia.

About You

This role requires a balanced combination of subject expertise, practical teaching experience, and the ability to inspire, support, and develop educators across Southeast Asia and beyond.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Education, Applied Linguistics, or a related field
  • Recognised English language teaching qualification (e.g., DELTA, MA TESOL or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of the Indonesian education system and curriculum
  • Proven experience in teacher training and professional development delivery
  • Proven classroom teaching experience in English language education
  • Proven classroom teaching experience in preparing students for international English language qualifications
  • Familiarity with international English language qualifications, assessments, or learning materials
  • Near-native level of English (written and spoken)
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt content to different audiences and cultural contexts
  • Strong digital literacy and organisational skills
  • Experience working in international or multicultural environments

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education, Applied Linguistics, or related field (in addition to language teaching specific qualifications such as MA TESOL)
  • Experience in English language teaching sector within Southeast Asian countries other than Indonesia
  • Familiarity with training teachers in using international English language qualifications, assessments, or learning materials
  • Experience adapting global content to local curricula and education systems
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Ability to assess training impact and apply insights to improve learning outcomes
