The Role

Our client is seeking an Intern - Security Services - Sustainability in the Banking & Finance division.

Job description:

As an intern, you will assist the head of Sustainable Finance APAC and the Hong Kong Chief of Staff in their daily work.

Key responsibilities:

As in integrated within the Securities Services Hong Kong Chief of Staff office, the intern will support directly the Chief of Staff for the location on various reporting and governance topics.

He/ She will also help define the Sustainable Finance strategy for the Region, supporting the Head of Sustainable Finance for Securities Services APAC.

Finally, He/ She will also support in the implementation of the AI (Artificial intelligence) strategy and governance within the Hong Kong Location - coordinating the efforts among the location on this topic and liaising with other locations or the Regional Head Office when required.

As supporting the Chief of Staff for the location, the intern will support in the preparation and execution of the following:

• Quarterly production of reports (excel or PowerPoint) related to staff training, Travel and expenses follow-up, holidays for the Executive Management…).
• Responsible for the maintenance of the Governance document for the entity (committees).
• Overall general administrative management for the office (liaising with Procurement and Facilities).
• Coordination in the frame of transversal topics under the leadership of the Chief of Staff.
• Support in the various well-being projects among BP2S Hong Kong (proposal of new ideas, coordination with internal and external stakeholders...).

As a Sustainable Finance intern, the intern will Assist the Head of Sustainable Finance APAC for CSR activities and focus on CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) topics around the 3 following axis:

• Community: charity events
• Employee: awareness, well-being
• Operations: carbon footprint, waste management

There is plenty to do and much more to kick start. Any viable project suggested can be owned and managed by the candidate. The direction is simple: push as much as possible to improve the bank's environmental and social impact with Communities, Employees and through our own Operations.

Finally, the support in the implementation of the AI (Artificial intelligence) strategy and governance within the Hong Kong Location will encompass the following tasks:

• Gets on the top of existing AI tools within 2S HK - and become the go-to person to show and train other staff on such tools.
• Liaise with the Regional SPOC on the topic and support the rollout of Regional Initiatives within the Location.
• Participate to every single working group among the location, gathering business requests on the topic and formalizing simple summaries for the Region.
• Participation/ is involved in any other related topic or initiative as assigned by the Chief of Staff.

Technical requirements:

• Positive attitude and team player.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads, strong time management skills.
• Ability to understand and resolve or escalate issues quickly.
• Comfortable dealing with senior individuals and management across functions.
• Interest in Sustainable Finance and ESG principles.
• AI/ Computer science background is a plus.
