Job Description
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for the overall pastry kitchen operation
- Responsible for the pastry & dessert menu and concept development to continuously upgrade and enhance the food service through introduction of new products and creations
- Work closely with Executive Chef for controlling expenses and manpower budget by effective utilization of available resources in capital expenditure, food costs, operating equipment, and manpower within areas of responsibilities
- Ensure that the preparation and quality of food provided are consistently maintained
- Ensure all food products are produced in a professional manner and meet the company quality standard
- Hire, train and develop the pastry team members
- Ensures compliance with food handling and hygiene standards
- Perform duties set assign by the Executive Chef
What We Are Looking For
- Must have 8+ years of solid experience in serving renowned hotels, restaurants preferred
- Must have 3+ years of pastry experience in similar capacity
- Experience working in fine dining restaurant or Michelin-starred restaurant
- A motivational leader and a good team player
- Strong supervisory skill, able to drive the mood and good sprit of the team
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Confident in running busy shifts
