Our financial service client is looking for the Network and Trading Network Professional (SME) to manage the enterprise-scales network architecture.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide architectural guidance on trading networks, market data distribution, and exchange connectivity
- Work closely with Project manager, Network Operations, Trading application, Security, and external vendors
- Strong expertise in financial grade data center network architecture, including spine leaf design, high availability, and non blocking fabrics
- Experience advising on data center interconnect (DCI), redundancy models, and active active / disaster recovery designs
- Solid understanding of Layer 2 / Layer 3 data center networking, including EVPN/VXLAN concepts and traffic segmentation
- Ability to review and validate capacity planning, latency paths, and resilience design for market critical systems
- Familiarity with secure zone design, firewall integration, and east west traffic control within data centers
- Experience supporting data center migrations, refresh programs, and technology upgrades with minimal service impact
- Understanding of operational readiness, monitoring, and handover requirements for 24x7 mission critical environments
- Ability to lead in vendor and solution design discussions, reviewing proposed architectures, BOMs, and support budget planning and cost justification, including CAPEX / OPEX considerations
Job Requirements
- 15+ year experience in network architecture and consulting roles within financial services or exchanges
- Proven experience supporting mission critical, regulated environments
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba or similar network platforms.
- Proven experience in Aruba Wi-Fi deployment and optimization.
- Solid understanding of routing protocols including BGP and OSPF.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds).
- Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CCIE or CCNP are preferred.
