Role Purpose
The Learning & Development Specialist plays a key role in shaping learning strategy, leading capability‑building initiatives, and providing expert guidance on learning solutions across the organization. This senior position is responsible for independently driving end‑to‑end L&D projects—including needs assessment, program design, facilitation, evaluation, and stakeholder consulting—to support organizational capability and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive training needs assessments across functions and levels to identify organizational capability gaps, using data, interviews, and performance insights to shape development priorities.
- Design, develop, and implement end‑to‑end learning solutions—including curricula, blended learning programs, leadership modules, and functional skills training—grounded in adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies.
- Facilitate engaging learning sessions through both in‑person and virtual formats, applying advanced facilitation techniques to ensure high participation and practical skill transfer across diverse audiences.
- Develop high‑quality learning materials such as digital modules, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, micro‑learning content, and job aids that support scalable and consistent development experiences.
- Manage the full cycle of training operations, including scheduling, communication, attendance tracking, reporting, and maintaining accurate learning records through the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Evaluate program effectiveness through structured frameworks (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model), gather feedback, analyze learning impact data, and use insights to continuously enhance program relevance and effectiveness.
- Act as an internal consultant by advising leaders on learning strategies, recommending development solutions aligned with business needs, and supporting capability planning initiatives.
- Partner closely with HR and business stakeholders to support broader talent‑development activities such as onboarding, leadership development pathways, skill‑building initiatives, and high‑potential programs.
- Coordinate and manage relationships with external trainers, vendors, and learning partners to ensure high‑quality program design and delivery that align with organizational standards.
- Contribute to building a culture of continuous learning by promoting learning initiatives, communicating development opportunities, and encouraging employee engagement in self‑directed learning.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Learning & Development or Talent Development, with hands‑on exposure to end‑to‑end program design and delivery.
- Strong capability in conducting training needs assessments and identifying skill gaps to inform learning strategy.
- Solid experience in designing learning programs using adult learning principles and modern instructional design approaches.
- Skilled in delivering engaging training sessions in both in‑person and virtual environments.
- Strong stakeholder‑management and consulting abilities, with experience collaborating with senior leaders.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills suited to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized and analytical, able to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
- Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
