Job Description:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the company’s waste management operations, including waste collection, transportation, recycling, and disposal
- Lead and manage the fleet team, including transport supervisors, dispatchers, drivers and maintenance personnel, to support daily service operations and contract requirements
- Plan, coordinate and optimise vehicle routing, deployment and scheduling for cleaning / waste collection operations to meet client service levels and minimise downtime
- Manage waste management team budgets, forecasting, and resources allocation to achieve operational efficiency and cost control
- Prepare and manage the fleet budget, including capital expenditure plans, and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management
- Ensure all activities comply with environmental protection and health & safety standards
- Introduce innovative waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability programs to improve environmental performance
- Tack key projects, analyse tender strategies and lead contract negotiation that maximize profitability and identify risks. Exploring opportunities within the industry to drive continuous business development for potential clients
- Strengthen the relationship with existing clients while building new prospects. Building and maintaining prolong partnership relations with clients, offering clients integrated solutions and solving clients’ problems and complaints
- Prepare quotations and contracts, project presentation, reports and etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Waste Management, or a related discipline is preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in fleet / transport operations, preferably in cleaning, waste management, facilities management or related service industries, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills with the ability to drive operational improvements
- In-depth knowledge of waste management regulations, environmental policies, and industry best practices
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
