Job Description:
The Demi Chef-de-partie will be responsible for assisting the assigned Sous Chef in all the duties. To be assigned to replace the Chef-de-partie during absence.
Job Description
- Properly handle food, equipment and utensils
- Prepare food according to Chef’s specification and recipes
- Work closely with Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
- Ensure attractive display of food items, show pieces, etc, on display counters, buffets or where required
- Receive food checks, event orders and prepare them as required
- Clean and maintain the working place, store, equipment and utensils
- Send requisitioned items from storeroom, market list and personally double check quantities and qualities
- Check and setup mise-en-place in all areas (including refrigerators) of the Section
- Co-operate and work properly and in a fair manner
- Minimize wastage and optimize leftovers
- Follow and enforce hygiene and safety standards set by the Club and Food & Environmental Hygiene Department
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years’ working experience in kitchen
- Polite and able to communicate effectively with diverse workforce
Working Location: Tai Tam (Transportation allowance applies)
