Your impact
Jacobs is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director - Civil to join our team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and managing civil engineering projects, ensuring excellence in design, supervision, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality, timelines, and budget.
- Provide oversight and guidance to teams including resident supervisors, team assistants, and other project staff.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical expertise for site works.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Oversee detailed designs for various civil engineering projects, including stations, tunnels, bridges, and road widening works.
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards, including seismic design and environmental regulations.
- Manage and supervise technical reviews, audits, and alternative design evaluations for civil and structural works.
- Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and documentation to clients and stakeholders.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience in civil engineering, including project management and design review.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects, such as power plants, railway stations, tunnels, bridges, and roadworks.
- Strong knowledge of local and international standards, including ACI, NSCP, and Chinese GB codes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in liaising with government authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Professional certification or membership in a recognized engineering institution is preferred.
