Manager (Payments Market Infrastructure)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the payment systems operation team and coordinate with external parties to ensure smooth operation of the payment systems in Hong Kong, including maintaining up-to-date clearing house rules, operating and contingency procedures
- Ensure proper risk management as well as handle exception and contingency arrangements for the payment systems in Hong Kong
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on payment systems development and enhancement projects, including preparing user requirements and reviewing functional specifications
- Monitor payment flows and conduct analysis on the usage and efficiency of the payment systems in Hong Kong
- Keep abreast of the regulatory and technical development of global financial market infrastructures with a view to identifying and implementing system and operational changes to enhance system safety and efficiency
- Ensure that the operation of the payment systems in Hong Kong comply with international and local standards for key financial market infrastructures
Requirements
- University degree in finance, business, information technology or related fields
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in banking or financial services industry
- Knowledge of local and overseas operation of payment systems, debt securities settlement systems and Fintech an advantage
- Good research, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical skill, including data analytics
- Good command in English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua an advantage
- Well versed in MS Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SQL /equivalent; knowledge of simulation modelling an advantage
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including outside normal office hours (e.g. holidays) and under adverse weather conditions as required
