About the Role
As an AML Manager, you will support the implementation and enhancement of our AML/CFT control framework across our digital platform. You will work closely with Compliance, Risk, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure our processes remain aligned with local regulatory requirements and Group standards, all while supporting a smooth user experience.This role is well-suited for someone who combines solid regulatory knowledge with practical experience in automation, investigations, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities- AML/CFT Framework: Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of AML/CFT, sanctions, and proliferation financing controls, policies, and procedures.
- Risk Review & Escalation: Review and assess complex CDD/KYC cases and prepare clear recommendations for escalation in line with the firm’s risk appetite.
- Screening & Monitoring: Monitor and support screening processes for PEP, sanctions, adverse media, and related alerts; work with stakeholders to improve tuning and efficiency.
- Investigations & Reporting: Conduct or support suspicious activity investigations, assist in the preparation and filing of STRs, and liaise with internal stakeholders on AML/CFT matters as needed.
- Advisory Support: Provide timely AML/CFT guidance to business teams on onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and customer risk matters.
- Process Improvement: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to improve AML/CFT controls, automation, and digital onboarding workflows.
- Training & Culture: Support the delivery of AML/CFT training and awareness initiatives to strengthen a compliance-first culture
Requirements- Experience: Minimum 4–8 years of relevant AML/CFT experience in banking, securities, fintech, virtual assets, or a regulated financial services environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Certification: Professional certification such as CAMS or ICA is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong AML/CFT regulatory requirements, including the AMLO and related guidance.
- Hands-on experience with CDD/KYC reviews, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and STR handling.
- Familiarity with AML automation tools, digital onboarding, or data-driven risk assessment is a distinct advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Title and seniority will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications (open to Manager or Senior Manager level)
