What We Need
- Looking for an Intellectual Property (IP) lawyer specializing in trademark registration in Hong Kong (and ideally, also PRC)
- Experience handling mascot-related trademark registration (e.g., preparing the application for trademark of the mascot)
- Ability to advise on and submit the specific IP trademark registration process end-to-end for our mascot
Background
We have created a mascot to raise awareness of Developmental Coordination Disorder. We would like to protect this image so that it does not get used for other purposes, as it would distort the message we are trying to promote.

Why this is important
Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) affects one in ten children in Hong Kong. However, not many people are aware of this condition. We have created a mascot that has particular features that show symptoms in visual and appealing way. This helps us increase awareness and creates an image that raises interest amongst the community.

What We Do
The DCD Foundation was founded to promote awareness of Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) in the Hong Kong community and to provide support to those who have been diagnosed. Our work focuses on research with universities, public seminars, training events, community events and other activities.
