An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounting Clerk to join a rapidly growing IT startup in Hong Kong. As the sole accounting staff member, you will take ownership of end-to-end financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
You will manage the full spectrum of day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, smooth reporting processes, and effective collaboration with external partners in a fast-paced startup environment.
AR/AP & Bookkeeping (Primary Focus)
- Process invoices, payments, and manage AR/AP aging
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and resolve billing queries
- Record daily transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
- Prepare vouchers, receipts, and supporting documentation
Outsourced CPA Collaboration
- Liaise with external CPA firm for tax filing, statutory reporting, and audit support
- Prepare and submit financial documents timely
- Assist with year-end account preparation
General
- Work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
- Handle ad-hoc finance tasks as needed
Candidate Profile
You are a dependable and detail-oriented accounting professional with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Y Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- 5 years experience in AR/AP and bookkeeping
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero/SAP)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated, able to work independently as sole accounting staff
- Good communication skills in Cantonese and English
