Leadership Can Be Really Inconsistent
Pros: I liked working with some of the individual managers; they genuinely cared. It's a big corporate company, so there are clear procedures for many tasks. It was a good start for getting experience in the hospitality industry.
Cons: The biggest issue for me as a Front Desk Associate was the inconsistent leadership. Some managers were great, but others really lacked training or just didn't support their onsite teams. There's a noticeable gap in how different shifts are run.
Advice to Management: Management needs to standardize leadership training across all levels and shifts. There's too much variance in how our teams are led. Really listen to the onsite staff more often.

Decent place, but leadership could be better
Pros: Hilton generally offers good benefits for a corporate hotel. You get pretty consistent scheduling, which is nice for an onsite role. The team itself in Dallas, Texas was solid.
Cons: Leadership here can be inconsistent. As a Front Desk Agent, I often felt a lack of clear direction from some managers. It's tough when new hotel operations initiatives come down without proper explanation.
Advice to Management: Focus on better training for middle management. Clear communication is key for all Front Desk Agents and other hotel operations staff.

Hilton Perks are Good, Base Pay Not So Much
Pros: The employee travel discounts are awesome, definitely a huge perk for someone in the hospitality industry. You get solid rates at Hilton hotels worldwide. It's a big company, so the benefits package has good variety.
Cons: The base pay for a Front Desk Agent at the Orlando, FL property felt low for the workload. Health insurance options aren't the cheapest for what you get. I couldn't really save much on a 401k.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the entry-level salaries for roles like Front Desk Agent. It's hard to attract and retain good talent when the compensation isn't competitive, especially in a busy market like Orlando's hospitality sector.
