Company Overview Lumber Mart Sdn Bhd commenced its operations in 1999. It was born from a partnership united by a passion for providing the Malaysian market with quality timber flooring. The timing coincided with the opportunity to provide the finishing touch for upscale home furnishing. Lumber Mart began business by importing top quality raw timber, which was then processed for sale to local and international markets. The year 2000 marked an important milestone for Lumber Mart. It expanded its operations to include installation services to meet the increasing demand for beautiful and lasting timber flooring by proud owners. It then set up purchasing offices in Myanmar and Indonesia, two of its main sources for top quality tropical hard wood. Lumber Mart also became the first Malaysian timber company to be registered as a lifetime member of National Wood Flooring Association, USA. Driven by the passion to become a recognised expert within the timber flooring industry, Lumber Mart entered a strategic partnership in 2002 with Bona, Sweden. This collaboration with a world leader has enabled Lumber Mart to offer a total solution for timber floor treatment through technology transfer, equipment, installation methods and training. Growing from strength to strength, in 2006 Lumber Mart moved to its Kota Damansara headquarters and built a warehouse in Klang with a total combined area of 10,000 square meters. Its gallery of timber flooring showcases an exquisite range of timber and installation ideas that never fails to inspire visitors and prospective clients. In year 2008, Lumber Mart was awarded “The Brand Laureate – SMEs Best Brands in Asia Pacific” under the category of manufacturing of solid timber flooring. In year 2010, Lumber Mart started to expand internationally opening up its first overseas sales office in Singapore. Today, both locally and internationally, Lumber Mart is recognised as a successful, home-grown, Malaysian small-medium-enterprise (SME) that has built a solid reputation for knowing its wood.
